Incentive Design Research Areas
Education
Our approach towards educating ourselves and our children is filled with examples of misaligned incentives that create rising costs, questionable returns, and a system that favors traditional approaches in lieu of potentially more efficient and effective alternatives and complements. Let’s take a closer look at incentives in education, and examine how we might redesign them to tackle these big issues.
While the research is ongoing, here is an initial list of issues we discussed.
Health
The healthcare sector has countless examples of misaligned incentives that create inefficiencies and barriers to access. We want to promote work that identifies and quantifies the effects of misaligned incentives, raise awareness, and offer pathways to better Incentive Design.

Housing
We live amid a rampant housing crisis in many parts of the world. Increasing the supply of good housing is key. Yet there are clear issues of incentive misalignment at different levels of decision-making that impede major progress.
